2 cups Ice Cubes — for ice shock bath
1/4 tsp Kosher Salt & Black Pepper — for serving
Equipment
Air Fryer
Bowl with Ice Water
Tongs
DirectionsGet to the point
1Place 6 cold eggs straight from the fridge directly into the air fryer basket.
2Air fry at 270°F for 13 mins (jammy center) or 15 mins (firm yolk).
3Transfer immediately into an ice water bath with tongs for 5 minutes.
4Tap shell and peel effortlessly under running water.
Dad pro tip

The temperature MUST be set to 270°F. If you set it higher (e.g. 350°F), the moisture inside will boil rapidly and explode the eggshells inside your basket.

Kid adjustment

Slice in half, sprinkle with a dash of mild paprika and salt, or mash with mayonnaise for quick egg salad.

Reheat

Eat chilled or at room temperature. Never microwave whole boiled eggs.
